The Clerk III provides a wide range of clerical support, with varying duties depending on the specified program/department.

The Clerk III performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health.

This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical terminology certification. Minimum 1-year recent Medical Office Administrative or Clerk III experience in an acute care and/or outpatient cardiac environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Excellent organizational skills and ability to take initiative. Excellent communication skills and works well within a team environment. Proficient with Microsoft office, Excel, intranet, VAX, and NetCare.

Preferred Qualifications:

Committed to safe, effective and ethical patient care and work practices. Recent training and proficiency with PaceArt, Connect Care, iProcurement/Oracle. Demonstrated ability to practice in a patient/family centered environment. Effective clinical/problem solving skills. Previous experience or training within a cardiac patient population an asset. Previous pacemaker clinic experience preferred an asset.
