About the Opportunity:


Currently, Taymor is looking for a Financial & Business Analyst who will work closely with the the Finance, Sales and Product Management teams to develop and administer sales, financial and budget reporting and analysis for all areas of the company (CND and USA).


More specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate work for sales and financial budgeting.
  • Lead annual budget and strategic plan processes and assist in the detailed analysis of the financials.
  • Develop, refine and maintain sales and margin forecasts.
  • Provide monthly financial report and variance analysis for discussion with the management team.
  • Compile and analyze monthly P&L and margin variances. Work with other departments to understand and manage variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Generate financial reporting metrics and analyze financial performance trends vs. business objectives.
  • Contribute to the gathering, analysis and reporting of business performance indicators.
  • Develop financial modeling of all major business drivers as required. Provide ad hoc analysis on those main business drivers.
  • Develop business cases for key strategic initiatives/capital investments/other Finance projects.
  • Develop and maintain product pricing and margin analysis reports for PM and Sales teams.
  • Develop customer price modeling and business cases, Create and maintain customer pricing database.
  • Provide monthly financial reports for the sales, product management team and other departments.
  • Maintain and update product costings for Canada and the US.
  • Be part of super users of SEIx3 BI tool to generate all required data and analytics to monitor the performance of the business.

About You:


To qualify, you will need at
least 3-5 years of experience in the areas of financial reporting, business/financial analysis related to finance, with an emphasis on providing insights and recommendations from data.

In addition, you have a strong knowledge and experience in:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel e.g. pivot tables, v-lookup, What-if statements, and logical formulas. Basic macros.
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written
  • Knowledge of the Builders Hardware industry and or similar Retail and Distribution markets and the competitive landscape.

PLEASE NOTE:

This job generally works in a hybrid work situation from home and 2 days a week from our Delta office location.
