HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER

SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department in accordance with company standards and procedures along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times.

Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training and developing staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all guest rooms, offices, washrooms, suites, and all public spaces etc.
Planning, organizing and leading team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
Daily supervision of the housekeeping staff, including the day, event and postevents.
Purchase, reorder and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory.
Conduct inspections of all guest rooms
Schedule and train all new housekeeping staff members.
Maintain the housekeeping budget, providing billing summaries and expenses
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
Knowledge of Health and Safety standards within Housekeeping department.
Determines and maintains the department work schedule
Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED required
5 years experience working in Housekeeping

years experience in Hospitality
years experience in supervisory role

Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis
Flexible schedule and reliable
Must be a fast pace worker and work well with others
Multitasking skills
Familiar with WHMIS, Health and Safety, and emergency protocols
Physical mobility and stamina are required
Ability to follow instructions and be detailoriented
Professional and friendly with all guests. Ability to achieve guest satisfaction
Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, laundry or related jobs an asset
