Description

Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company that is looking for Ironworkers to join our team in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Shift rotation will be 21 days on, 7 days off.

Penn-co offers excellent wages depending on experience and skills.

Job Duties

Read blueprints and specifications to lay out work
Unload and stack rebar
Assemble rigging to move materials
Select, cut, bend, position and secure steel bars in concrete forms
Use various power and gas tools
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
An understanding of safe work practices
Ability to work from heights
The strength, stamina, and ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift and carry items weighing in excess of 50 pounds
Good muscular coordination, agility, and balance
Ability to travel for work

Working Conditions

Extreme weather conditions that may include heat, dust, cold, rain, and noise
Physically strenuous work
Working at heights
Remote locations
