The opportunity:


The qualifications and experience we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's in science preferred.
  • Minimum of two year of experience in a research environment is preferred.
  • Experience in clinical research settings and enrolling study participants is required.
  • Knowledge and experience working with First Nations cohorts in the setting of clinical research are required.
  • Knowledge of RA assessment, both tools and techniques and treatment modalities are required.
  • Familiarity with research in the setting of both qualitative and quantitative research is required.
  • Experience writing standard operating procedures related to all aspects of functions performance of randomized clinical trials is required.
  • Experience working as a multidisciplinary research team is required.
  • Previous experience performing data abstraction from various forms of patient information (paper and electronic charts) and data collection/management (in electronic form) is preferred.
  • Experience with REDCap databases is preferred.
  • Previous experience performing informed patient consent is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with Indigenous Peoples, patients, and/or communities is preferred.
  • WRHA PHIA and University of Manitoba PHIA Training for Researchers certifications, TCPS-CORE II, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and Electronic medical record (EPR) training is preferred.
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to work within time and budget constraints.
  • Communicates in a professional manner with physicians, researchers, nurses, other allied health care professionals, program managers, and students is required.
  • Sound judgment and problemsolving skills are required.
  • Ability to conduct research independently is required.
  • Ability to plan, organize and administer goals is required.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new or pivot techniques are required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team is required.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working with a research team or project, is required.
  • Ability to function in a team setting required.
  • Functions as a positive, productive team member in a multidisciplinary setting, while cooperating with staff and other internal and/or external departments and or groups is required.
  • Ability and eagerness/willingness to learn new things. Willingly shares knowledge and expertise with peers and readily seeks assistance when needed is required.
  • Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
  • Flexible hours to accommodate early morning and late afternoon meetings is required
  • Authorship on peerreviewed scientific publications.
