Are you an aspiring baker? Do you have a interest in artisan baking techniques and a love of good food?

Harvest Moon Bakery is currently seeking a full time bakers assistant

As a bakers assistant you will work closely with an experienced baker and pastry chef and learn how to bake a wide variety of products from sour dough breads and classic french pastries, to cozy favourites like cinnamon buns and cookies.

Your role would include;

Following recipes, weighing and prepping ingredients, working with a variety of dough's and batters, decorating products, using industrial bakery equipment, following food safety protocols, and helping with customer service when needed.

• Have 2+ years of baking or culinary experience
• Have a keen interest in baking and pastry arts

- have a valid Food Safe certificate

• Be capable of standing for long periods of time
• Be capable of lifting 50lb bags of flour
• Be able to work as part of a team and independently as needed
• Have reliable transportation to work and, able to work early morning shifts
• Organization, time management and an ability to multitask are key traits
• Drivers license is an asset
• Be fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Fundamental math skills are necessary

Salary:
$18.00 per hour
