Job Overview
Education and Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in at least one of the following areas: sales, customer service, finance, administration
- Postsecondary education in a relevant field
- Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with CRM or SIS systems would be an advantage
- Experience with data entry and record keeping required
- Knowledge and/or experience of provincial and federal student financial assistance would be an asset
- High accuracy and attention to detail required
- Ability to work with both people and numbers
Role and Responsibilities
-Explain provincial and federal student financial options to students
- Communicate student financial awards and disbursement schedules to students Collecting and maintaining student data and financial records in line with governing body, provincial and federal requirements
- Collaborate with the admissions team to close student financial files
- Assist graduates with understanding loan repayments and obligations
- Guide students through the assessment and appeals processes
- Track all financial aid documents
- Follow up for missing or incomplete financial information
- Distribute financial aid obligation forms, and student payment statements
- Provide timely activity reports to the admissions team and Finance Administrator; advise the finance administrator of any issues or concerns
- Submit student financial schedules to the Finance Administrator for processing and payment collection
- Counsel students on the consequences of early withdrawal/ dismissal/ program changes etc. on their financial award
Salary:
$21.00-$23.00 per hour
