Summary


The scheduler is responsible to maintain, optimize and monitor progress of the project schedule and progress, ensuring that Hatch procedures and best practices are applied, as appropriate, and recommending changes to the Lead Planner where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal responsibility for stopping any unsafe behaviour as and when it occurs, and thereafter reporting the safety incident so that corrective action may be obtained
  • Familiarisation with Hatch safety processes, protocols and procedures.
EPCM schedule verification

  • Incorporate all EWPs in schedule, once confirmed by Engineering Manager
  • Confirm and refine scheduling (incl. early works and understand schedule basis).
  • Project master schedule development
  • Maintain, optimize and monitor progress identity and resolve issues
  • Analyse contractor schedule biweekly and incorporate updates in the project schedule.
  • Project Schedules
  • Develop, maintain and optimise project schedules as required by the Project's Project Control Plan, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issues.
  • Develop and finalise commissioning schedule and confirm activities on master schedule
  • Project master schedule monitoring and updates
  • Maintain and optimise schedule, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issues
  • Generate all progress curves
  • Develop and maintain commodity and resource profile
  • Extract and publish detailed working schedules
  • Extract and publish 4week look ahead schedule
  • Monitor slippages and critical and near critical paths and discuss with Lead Planner for resolution
  • Establish deliverable, equipment/material and contractor ROS dates.

You bring to the role:
Essential

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in engineering, construction mgmt. or other relevant discipline or appropriate substituted project related experience
  • Exposure to project planning in a multi discipline project environment
  • Basic knowledge in the use of Project Planning tools
  • Technical overview of work methods and techniques
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles.
Preferred

  • Interpersonal and good communication skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office package)
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Problem solving and mitigating skills
  • Verbal and written communications
  • Presentation skills
  • Report writing skills.


Position will be located in the Sudbury area for the first 1 to 1.5 years, with the option of staying in Sudbury after the project completion or heading to Mississauga.
