Food Program Facilitator Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Program Facilitator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, service, and delivery of meals to programs within the Hamilton/Burlington region.

• You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to prepare approximately 140 nutritious hot meals daily.
• Collaborate on meal planning and shopping while ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.

This position requires resilience, flexibility, and a willingness to work in challenging situations. You must be able to lift and maneuver heavy objects (e.g., dish racks, bulk food items) safely.

Skill Building Activities

You will lead and support colleagues with food service tasks while promoting an equitable atmosphere. Your expertise includes demonstrating understanding of food security barriers related to cultural significance.

Tenant Kitchen Helpers Support: Work as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting tenants by encouraging housing stability through assisting tenant kitchen helpers.
