SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK

This role is ideal for someone who is a motivated self-starter, able to perform physical work, safety oriented and is well organized.

The Opportunity

• Determine method of shipment and prepare all shipping documents.
• Have the necessary skills to package products by best means for shipping, from boxes to multiple pallets.
• Receive merchandise, confirm condition of product and assist in offloading transport.
• Maintain internal computer based record keeping systems.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against packing slips and record any damage or shortages.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and ensure all packaging tools are in good working order
• Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload and store goods in a safe manner.
• Maintain a clear path of communication with sales and administration staff to prepare for incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Know safe storage and handling procedures for the various products.
• Take inventory, maintain storage area, organise and store stock. Ensure that all areas of storage are clean and free of unnecessary debris.
