Your Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager, Child and Adolescent Stabilization Team, or designate, this position will provide support to Child and Adolescent clients of addiction and mental health services who are dealing with a crisis/post crisis in an Emergency Setting, having the support of an RPN/Clinical Facilitator while you support the youth.

This is an opportunity to support youth and their guardians in your community by developing rapport, while having meaningful conversations during their difficult time.


Description:


As a Mental Health Aide, you will work as a collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team to provide a welcoming and safe care environment.

You will assist in the provision of direct patient/client care as delegated in a person-centered, recovery oriented and safe manner.

In this position, you will assist and / or promote independence to patients/clients in completing activities of daily living as well as assisting other health professionals with providing treatments and observing and reporting relevant patient/client information to professional staff.

You will assist new patients/clients and families with orientation, and assist in the general support of the work area.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12. Completion of Health Care Aide or Mental Health Aide Certificate or equivalent.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience working with youth is required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with high risk youth or youth living with addiction and mental health concerns is considered an asset.
