Heavy Duty Cleaner, Air Port Location ( Car Required )

This is a unionized position, Part Time. Full time Days and Afternoon shifts (Monday to Friday). Part Time Shifts On Weekends Day and Afternoon shifts available.

A Heavy Duty Cleaner is mainly responsible for intensive cleaning tasks such as cleaning hard floor surfaces and collecting and disposing of garbage from bins to the compactor area.

Key Responsibilities:

Dry mops, wet mop (wash/scrub) and polishes hard surface floors.
The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with manual or power scrubbing equipment and the polishing is done with hand held buffing machines.
Strips and finishes hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required.
Pickup garbage from drop points to garbage bins and brought to compactor area.
Transport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors.
Clean washroom floors including washing, mopping, stripping and finishing.
Cleans stairwells, elevator, and foot grills.
Maintains and performs preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers, and buffers.
Washes walls and ceiling fans at established intervals.
Shampoos carpets and uses extracting equipment or cleans carpets also spot cleaning on carpets.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

At least 18 years of age.
One year experience in the cleaning industry and experience with Autoscrubber, Swing Machine / Buffer, Vacuum, Carpet Extractor / Spotter.
General Housekeeping Equipment (mops, brooms, pails, carts etc.).
Chemical Dispensers.
A Criminal Record Check is Required.
