As a subsidiary of IT Group, Inject Tech Plastics was formed to provide molding solutions and assembly services to the medical, automotive & consumer industries.

Our 61,000 square foot facility allows us to offer our customer base an expanded range of injection molding equipment, with presses ranging in tonnage from 28 to 2500 ton, along with new automation equipment to handle your extended run or touch sensitive requirements.

We are currently looking for a
Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario.

***The Shipping & Receiving role is responsible for performing various warehousing tasks to ensure end-users are supplied with required products in a timely fashion. The Shipping and Receiving role is responsible for receiving, put-away, inventory control, Shipping, and maintaining accurate records of receipts and shipments and other functions necessary to maintain an efficient and effective warehouse environment. Key to the success of this position is the ability to achieve a high level of accuracy and a timely flow of products into the warehouse, within the warehouse and outbound to both internal and external customers.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

Shipping and Receiving 75%_

  • Receiving of Inbound Shipments, and breakdown of shipments in order to check that goods received are correct, and in acceptable receiving conditions free of any damages to the product(s) integrity to than prepare for distribution to user departments.
  • Unpacks and completes accurate and timely physical receipt (manual and within computerized system) of all inbound shipments
  • Asset Tagging Item's as required
  • Identifying and assists in resolution of any receipt discrepancies (Overage/Shortage) and collaboratively works with Purchasing for a resolution as required.
  • Ensures safe handling and transport of goods at all times
  • Putsaway stock items into the appropriate locations
  • Staging of completing material ready for shipment
  • Ensures all stock inventory locations are properly labelled and organized within the department
  • Participates and actively makes recommendations related to continuous improvement activities
  • Reports defective deliveries as required.

Outbound Shipments Preparation 15%_

  • Prepares items for commercial shipping (PUROLATOR, FED EXP, etc.).
  • Packages items securely.
  • Prepares and maintains all records, logs and files for shipped items.
  • Compliant with Dangerous Good Legislation in preparing goods for shipment.

Miscellaneous Tasks 10%_

  • Maintains departmental files of packing slips, purchase orders, and other related records.
  • Retrieving records as requested to assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and related problems.
  • Maintains security of Receiving Area at all times to guard against removal of Company supplies and/or equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Successful completion of a High School Diploma.
  • Three (3) years' recent experience in a shipping/receiving role.
  • Forklift Certification or prior experience
  • Knowledge in all facets of warehousing (receiving, putaway, picking, shipping) and an understanding of good warehousing practices.
  • Proven recent recordkeeping & organizational skills with attention to detail to make quick mental calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions on quality and accuracy of work and show initiative to initiate positive change and prioritize workload.
  • Exceptional ability to work independently and in a selfdirected manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fastpaced and everchanging environment where frequent interruptions occur.
  • Demonstrate the physical and mental capabilities necessary for proper and efficient performance of the essential duties of the position. This includes intermittent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead on a daily basis.
  • Successfully able to perform their function in accordance with prescribed standards that focuses on the priority of People Safety and the delivery of the highest standard of Quality Performance.
