    We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate is outgoing, collaborative, and eager to learn about the software industry.

    This role focuses on supporting our social media and digital marketing efforts, with an emphasis on content creation, social media management, and contributing to our newsletter.

    This position is entirely remote.

    The Eclipse Foundation is global in scope and is domiciled in Belgium, with staff located in Europe, Canada and the United States.

    Draft and post engaging content to multiple social media accounts for the Eclipse Foundation and its working groups, ensuring consistent messaging and adherence to brand guidelines across all platforms.

    Collaborate on social media campaigns with members, community managers, thought leaders and other third parties to develop and deliver joint content.

    Explore and evaluate emerging social media platforms, such as Mastodon, to identify new opportunities for expanding the Eclipse Foundation's digital presence and engaging with diverse online communities.

    Design and produce compelling graphics and videos tailored for social media channels to enhance visual storytelling and engagement.

    Assist the events team by crafting and disseminating social media content that highlights key moments and insights from conferences and events.

    Contribute to the production and distribution of monthly newsletters, ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and aligns with the Foundation's communication goals.

    Engage in audience analysis, research, and planning to support new content development and ensure the Eclipse Foundation brand consistency across digital channels.

    Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

    Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the software industry.

    Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in additional languages is considered a valuable asset.
    Proficient in creating, editing, and promoting both written and visual content across various digital platforms.

    Well-versed in current digital marketing trends and measurement best practices, with the ability to apply these insights to drive strategies.

    Strong project management skills, demonstrated by the ability to complete complex projects on time with minimal supervision.

    Experience engaging with and contributing to developer communities, with an understanding of the Eclipse Foundation community being particularly advantageous.

    Proficient with digital marketing and content creation tools, such as HubSpot and Canva, and well-acquainted with major social media platforms.
