Here's how a Translator for our Montreal office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities:

Assists with tracking and maintaining communication and assignments among all team members including external translation firms.
Develop a medium term and longterm strategy in terms of translation needs and resources for our district.
Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
Accurately proofs, edits, and rewords text to deliver an errorfree, professional submission on time.
Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure).

Qualifications:

Postsecondary degree or diploma in translation or related field.
Exceptional written and oral skills in English and French.
1 year or more of proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role.
Demonstrates effective project management, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail, proofreading skills, good judgement, and ability to problemsolve.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with and influence a diverse group sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically.
Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
