The Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for:
- Handling all RDP (Robust Development Plans-performance management) cases in the US, and managing Policy Changes in the US.
- Must have current experience within US employment laws onlyspecifically related to performance management.
- Must speak, read and write in English.
- This position would provide the best possible experience to all employees, people managers, and other internal stakeholders
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handling of all RDP (Robust Development Plans) cases in the US:
- Complete intake calls with reporter. Coach and counsel Managers, set up expectations, roles and responsibilities, etc.
- Analyze the case and, if it meets the criteria, partner with reporter to build an RDP (Robust Development Plan) to be delivered to employees.
Each plan shall include, but not limited to:
- Identifying performance shortcomings specific example/s
- Explaining the impact for not performing up to expectations.
- Defining expectations and drafting SMART goals/development opportunities.
- Assist in the presentation of the plan to employees.
- Follow through during checkpoints and at the end of the term of the RDP.
- If employee doesn't successfully pass the RDP, help prepping the People Manager and the case itself to transition well into a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan), in case necessary.
- Throughout the process, track and report status and progress, using ServiceNow.
- Manage Policy Changes in the US:
- Assess legal/regulation changes for impact to current Policies
- Revise existing policies
- Assess impact to employees
- Communication and training strategy for employees and managers
- Compliance Training execution
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Hybrid position:
will work at site 2 days a week.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of performance management and best practices to resolve situations of conflict around employees' performance.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and persuasion/influential skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Five years (5) of experience in performance management or similar.
