    Description

    Responsibilities:

    Assist senior technician in performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles. Follow established procedures for diagnosing and repairing automotive issues.
    Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
    Maintain and organize automotive tools and equipment in a clean and safe manner. Assist in the proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
    Assist in maintaining an inventory of automotive parts and supplies. Help monitor stock levels and assist in the ordering of necessary parts.
    Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Comply with all automotive industry safety regulations.
    Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance automotive knowledge and skills. Learn from experienced technicians and seek opportunities for growth within the automotive field.
    Perform diagnostics and repair work on various automotive systems, including engines, brakes, steering, electrical systems, and emissions control items. Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex problems.
    Perform routine preventative maintenance on vehicles to ensure their longevity and safe operation. Conduct services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
    Test vehicle parts and systems to ensure proper functionality and performance. Utilize diagnostic tools and read wiring diagrams to perform electrical repairs and address issues like check engine lights and ABS lights.
    Inspect vehicles for safety issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Perform safety inspections and document findings as per applicable regulations, such as MTO requirements.
    Maintain accurate records of all service and repairs performed on vehicles. Prepare written inspection reports detailing the condition of vehicles and recommended repairs.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent.
    Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and a desire to learn and grow.
    Automotive Apprenticeship or Automotive Mechanic Experience
    Basic automotive knowledge and a strong desire to develop technical skills.
    Professional demeanor and efficient problem-solving skills.
    Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
    Able to effectively communicate automotive issues clearly.
    Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technician.
    High level of integrity and work ethic.
    Must possess a valid driver's license.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and carry automotive parts and equipment.
    Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks as required.

    Working Conditions:

    Overtime maybe required.
    Lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
    Exposure to various weather conditions, depending on tasks.
    Training and hands-on experience with various vehicles and technologies.
    Exposure to rust and other substances.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

    Experience:
    automotive technician: 4 years (preferred)
