    We have an exciting full-time opportunity in our corporate/commercial department for a highly skilled and enthusiastic legal assistant.

    The right candidate will have at least 3 years of corporate/commercial experience, be exceptionally organized, be able to manage multiple priorities for a busy partner, and be a great team player.

    You are detail-oriented and ready to learn.

    In this diverse position, your day will be challenging as you work on:
    Commercial contracts, lease agreements, share purchase agreements, loan documents, and various other complex legal documents requiring great attention to detail
    Organizing and preparing closing books, handling post-closing documents, receipting payments, and preparation of
    reporting documents
    Preparing accounts, posting time, and receiving payments
    dictation, draft general correspondence, opening and closing files, conflict checks organizing files, filing, and photocopying
    Managing lawyer calendars and appointments
    Working knowledge of residential real estate; preparation of documents; ability to work with or assist the
    conveyancing paralegal
