Description

DCI is an equal opportunity employer and has taken a Diversity Pledge to ensure our agency is advancing racial justice, identifying unconscious bias, educating our staff, and using our place marketing platform to advocate for change.

Our agency is also a member of the Diversity Action Alliance and Black Travel Alliance.

While this job posting is a guide, we welcome applicants that may bring diverse backgrounds, ideas, and experiences to DCI.

A Little Bit About You:

  • You thrive in fastpaced environments while understanding the importance of checking (and rechecking) details.
  • You're the grammar queen or king in your circle of friends. No unwarranted comma goes unnoticed.
  • With everchanging social media algorithms and platforms, you're always down to try something new and can articulate to clients when and why their brand should adapt.
  • You have a creative eye and can create a visually stunning Instagram Story or Reel. You may have dabbled with Tik Tok, be a propinner on Pinterest or have a blog (share it with us).
  • You can lengthen social media copy for a blog and vice versa, understanding the importance of repurposing content across channels.
  • You have a passion for places. You love exploring the world (or your own backyard), meeting new people, engaging in local and authentic experiences and uncovering the interesting and uniqueness of places you visit.

What You'll Be Doing at DCI:

You will support 2-4 content marketing campaigns at any given point in time, depending on the complexity of the campaign.

You'll be expected to be constantly on top of the status of each of your campaigns, delegate appropriate elements of the campaign to team members and keep your manager informed.

You will work on both B2B client accounts to begin, with the opportunity to expand to B2C work pending business needs.

Content Marketing

  • Write copy and play a lead role in content creation for clients and across your teams.
  • Oversee and implement the measurement of campaigns and translate data into reporting of KPIs that are digestible and actionable for clients and team members.
  • Work with account/PR teams, with other members of the digital team (website, SEO, advertising), and with other stakeholders to help meet business goals and objectives.
  • Social Media: Oversee content creation for your clients and bring new ideas to the table; report on an established cadence and adjust campaigns based on data.
  • Blogs: Write or edit blogs (depending on scope of work) aligning to client goals and optimize for SEO.
Client Relations

  • Participate in internal and client statuses, meetings and brainstorms, with the expectation that you will facilitate portions of the meetings as it relates to the campaigns you lead.
  • As you grow in this role, we'll expect for you to research and recommend new digital/content marketing ideas to expand current clients, and to monitor client budgets.
Team Collaboration and Thought Leadership

  • Work with the Vice President of Content and Social Media to continually identify and develop internal best practices and new services for clients.
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers on the content team to ensure internal staff is uptodate on content marketing best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams across the agency to provide insights, industry best practices, digital knowledge and understanding of platform capabilities to keep DCI's approach to content above industry standards.
  • This position does not have any direct reports at the onset but will have opportunity to mentor and collaborate with other junior staff, with potential to manage as the team grows.

Qualifications:

  • 45 years of professional experience; ideally, some of this time will include agency experience
  • Familiarity with tools such as (or similar to) Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Rival IQ, Campaign Manager, Mailchimp Google Analytics, Canva, Wordpress/CMS. A plus if you have any certifications
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment
  • Creativity and an eye for design
  • High attention to detail and a penchant for organization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • BA/BS degree

Salary, benefits and perks:

  • Competitive base salary with unique "open book" management approach that delivers performancebased incentives
  • Medical/dental/HSA coverage
  • Professional mentoring/development budget
  • Flexible start times and hybrid work environment
  • Flex Time Off
  • RSP match program
