Description

KML Windows Inc., a division of Andersen Corporation, is seeking a HR Administration Specialist. The HR Administration Specialist under close supervision, provides clerical and administrative support to Human Resources disciplines such as Employee Relations, Recruitment, Benefits or Compensation. This includes data entry into HRSI, preparation of correspondence, orientation to employees, coordination of company activities, coordination of interviews, coordination of leaves of absence, preparation of employee verification, and maintenance of employee records. The Administrative Specialist ensures that all records/files are current and meet legislative compliance.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration of the HRIS; ensure it is kept current and liaison with Andersen Corporate.
  • Provide customer service to our employees and assist with administrative duties and/or coordination/scheduling of events related to employee interdivisional transfers, making ID and security badges, confirmation of employment letters, company social events, employee votes, HR projects, Leadership Employee Opinion Surveys; Employee Engagement Action Plans, etc.
  • Greet walkin traffic to the plant and answer incoming calls
  • Update Communication boards and create (internal) communication information presented on televisions (ensures compliance to legislative requirements); create power point slides for Communication meetings.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR electronic files in line with company policies and legislative regulations. Retain records in line with company retention requirements.
  • Audits and updates the Employee KIOSK and participates in the annual prevacation booking process.
  • Updates weekly and monthly HR Metric Reports.
  • Updates Employee Attendance Trackers and prepares Coaching/Discipline letters when required. Conducts regular audits of the Attendance Tracker.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination of activities with Temporary Associate provider program.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • High school diploma or GED. Some postsecondary courses in Human Resources, business, software systems, or comparable workrelated experience.
  • Able to use computer and software, including Word and Excel programs, as required, including the ability to prepare spreadsheets using formulas, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality,
  • Able to read, write and interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedures, etc.
  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with other team members.
  • This is a nonexempt position and typically has a 1 to 3 years of experience.

Salary:
$22.27-$27.84 per hour
