INTRODUCTION:

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services.

Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients.

These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

Reports to: Regional Manager
Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.60
Hours of work:
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Location: 81 Resources Road, Etobicoke, ON M9P 3T1
Accessible by Transit: Yes

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Recommend ways to improve physical security
Ensure that the team adheres to the Post Orders and CGL Policies & Procedures
Handle confidential information with a high level of discretion
Organize the training of new staff
Prepare and submit the time sheets and schedules
Provide leadership to the team
Primary contact for the client and Regional Manager
Submit daily reports to the Facility Manager
Monitor CCTV cameras
Conduct patrols
Respond to emergencies and building alarms
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and deportment
Maintain a positive attitude and professional working relationship with employees, visitors, and clients
Complete the site reporting requirements, and written reports when required
Other duties as may be required by the client

REQUIREMENTS

Ontario Secondary School Diploma
Ontario Security Guard License
Valid First Aid and CPR C certificate
The ability to complete frequent patrols
Strong understanding of computers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make quick and sound decisions
