    NOTE THIS ROLE IS OPEN TO BC BASED CANDIDATES

    In this role you will:

  • Work closely with the Director/Art Director and other department supervisors to ensure work is completed in the style of the show
  • Oversee the assignment and management of the Layout team's workload, including reviewing the animatic, creating breakdown lists, assigning work and approving completed layouts.
  • Oversee the assignment and management of the internal Layout team's workload and manage the progress of layouts completed by the overseas studio. This includes reviewing the animatic, creating breakdown lists, assigning work, and approving completed layouts.
  • Meet project quotas, deadlines, and milestones as set by project leads, and the production department.
  • Interprets, implements, and facilitates notes and feedback from Production Executives, Directors, and Producer in a timely and qualitatively acceptable way.
  • Partners with the production team to prioritize completion of artwork pending production requirements.
  • Support and mentor the layout team, focusing on strengths within the team when assigning workload
  • Adheres to digital file management protocols.
  • Aligns and engages with the values of Mainframe: a culture of community, connectivity, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Interacts respectfully and professionally with colleagues, staff members, outsource studios, and clients.
  • Need to have:

  • Highly imaginative, thinks out of the box.
  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop and Flow Production Tracking (Shotgrid)
  • Solid understanding of D layout, perspective, and scale principles
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and delegate.
  • Adaptable to change, he/she can alter the course of action quickly per production needs.
  • Highly motivated, pro-active, solution-minded, solid work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Excellent leadership skills inspiring the team to work as a cohesive unit and eager to put forth their best.
  • Efficient and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to deliver work on time and meet set performance objectives.

  • Nice to have:

  • Degree and/or diploma in fine arts, animation, or equivalent experience is preferred.
