Program:

The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and the

Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe,
Tumbler Ridge and Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.


Responsibilities of this role:


  • To support the Maintenance Manager(s) with general maintenance and grounds keeping
- duties, including painting, cleaning, furniture repairs, and servicing equipment
  • Running grounds equipment (such as lawn mowers) and using a variety of tools
  • Ability to take direction, prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Prioritizes safety and ensures quality in their work
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Some travel (day trips) may be required

Qualifications:


  • Experience related to building maintenance, grounds keeping, and maintaining

- equipment and furniture
  • Some mechanical knowledge and experience with tools required
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle**
  • Three satisfactory professional references
  • Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector search
