- Minimum of 1 year experience in Long Term Care

Position Summary:
Under the clinical supervision of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, the Physiotherapist Assistant supports the OT and PT services offered within MGHSL Homes. The Physiotherapy Assistant reports directly to the Director of Facility and Resident Care and/or Director of Resident & Employee Programs. He/she is also responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of staff occupational health and safety initiatives, including staff training and support.
He/she must establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the residents and staff. Promote a person centered care approach by encouraging residents to exercise freedom of choice, to participate in programs, and enhance independence.
Qualifications :
• PT Assistant course or acceptable equivalent
