About us:


The joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Aecon has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to carry out the Darlington Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) project.

The project involves refurbishment of all four reactors at the Darlington Generating Station and consists of two phases - a Definition Phase and an Execution Phase.

The Definition Phase includes the construction of a full-scale reactor mock-up to simulate key elements of the refurbishment work, and the development, procurement and testing of specialized tooling required for the project.

The Execution Phase involves refurbishment of the reactor cores using the tools and methods that were developed and tested during the Definition Phase.


Purpose of the position:


The Junior Project Coordinator is a highly motivated self-starter who will assist in various areas of the RFR project, depending on business requirements.


How will you contribute to the team?

  • Communicates with RFR engineering team members and engineering manager to maintain the engineering scopes work breakdown structure.
  • Communicates changes/updates from the engineering team to other project groups (i.e., scheduling, project controls, construction).
  • Organizes meetings (internal or client) as required by the engineering team and develops meeting minutes.
Reports on Action Items from engineering meetings for input to the Action Items register.

  • Coordinates requests for information to vendors/client as identified by the engineering team
  • Responsible for preparing work packages.

What will you contribute?

  • Engineering Degree (Civil/Structural) is an asset.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
  • Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask/ Service orientated.
  • Thrive on a fastpaced environment.

  • Customers, suppliers, JV Partners
  • Project Managers, project personnel, estimating personnel
  • Trades personnel, union business agents

Physical demands:


  • Various work locations in both field and office.
  • Travel as necessary.
