    Job Description

    Mission

    CIMA+ is currently seeking applications for an experienced Project Electrical Engineer for our Mississauga office, to support our dynamic Infrastructure group that is rapidly expanding in Ontario. Qualified individuals will have 8 or more years of experience in the electrical engineering discipline. The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, experience in electrical engineering design / analysis, with project management and business development skills.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Work within a multidisciplinary design team as a Project Engineer, reporting to the Project Manager.
    • Develop electrical power distribution system designs, including single line diagrams, site plan power layouts, overcurrent protection, emergency power generation, lighting layouts, and power distribution plans
    • Develop Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) designs for SCADA monitoring/control systems, including control panels, P&IDs, Process Control Narratives, I/O lists, instrument selections, network diagrams, and communication panels
    • Prepare designs, calculations, plans, specifications, contract documents for building services related to municipal applications including water and wastewater facilities for power distribution, lighting, general distribution, communications, and security systems
    • Develop design reports, specifications, proposals, project schedules, cost estimates (proposals and construction) and as-built construction drawings
    • Conduct field work including investigations, studies, inspections for the design and construction of electrical distribution and I&C shop drawing reviews, life safety, and communications
    • Perform site visits to validate scope requirements and determine existing assets condition, and prepare site survey reports
    • Liaise with clients, government, regulatory authorities, and contractors
    • Review progress and compliance of construction work with the tender documents and participate in factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) for electrical and instrumentation equipment
    • Complete projects from kick-off through completion of Construction / Commissioning
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Registered as an Engineer with applicable associations (PEO is preferred)
    • 8 or more years of relevant experience
    • Proven experience in site work, detailed design, project engineering and construction
    • Capable to interact with our client base in order to understand their problems and recommend solutions
    • Entrepreneurial skills that will contribute to the growth of the business
    • Ability to work out of the Mississauga office is preferred. Kitchener and Bowmanville office work locations will also be considered.
    • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
