Position Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join our team in our Barrie location.


Position Responsibilities

  • Perform duties to setup and operate one or more machines, performing various operations on parts and materials.
  • Work from blueprints, work orders, written and verbal instructions.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading materials, as well as setting up, aligning, changing, and adjusting dies as required.
  • Make first piece, check print, and measure to maintain proper tolerance and accurate dimensions.
  • Abide by all Health and Safety protocols.
  • Sort Recyclable material (Tires)
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and safe manner.
  • Operate assigned production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with general labor and maintenance tasks, that maybe required from time to time. Included outside premises as well.
  • Report any malfunctions to supervision. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Complete required records, reports, and production documentation.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator in waste management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of waste management processes and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
