SCOPE OF THE JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Covers all product quality work including warranty data analysis, countermeasure investigation, validation, and implementation in the field through the R&D and Aftersales engineering centers
  • Supports VinFast Service Centres with troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair guidance and escalations to reduce repeat repairs and repair cycle time
  • Coordinates and executes "go and see activities" (when required) at ports of entry, VinFast Service Centers, special events, storage compounds, third party service facilities
  • Serves as a backup (tier 2) support on escalated customer concerns and addresses them quickly & effectively
  • Coordinates preparation of technical service bulletins (TSBs) and training materials including draft reviews, labor time studies, required parts & materials, applicable VIN/model & trim list, and final publication
  • Performs ongoing analysis of data sources to confirm countermeasure/field fix effectiveness
  • Executes product audits at the plant and ports of entry (when needed)
  • Performs quality auditing at VinFast Service Centres and authorized third party repair facilities
  • Supports containment and corrective actions as required and keeps & maintain clear records of events
  • Conducts and collaborates with training personnel in the creation and maintenance of education
- materials (for example: owner's manuals, in-vehicle brochures, and feature and function guides)

  • Provides continuous evaluation of product quality, which involves driving of the test fleet vehicles outside of normal business hours. This requires possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Assists engineering quality team as necessary in part recovery and vehicle condition reports
  • Assists with preproduction vehicle support & new model launches
  • Participates in E2E JIT and Quality Testing/Validation Events to ensure timely resolution of problems
  • Conducts or participates in Early Warning Meetings during the product launch phase along with NPI events and product improvement programs
  • Maintains and publishes weekly reports with predetermined KPIs
  • When necessary, runs or participates in weekly meetings with other stakeholders to report on assigned open topics
  • Evaluates tooling & equipment requirements at VinFast & thirdparty Service Centers and supports with procurement, maintenance and annual audits
  • Supports diagnostic tool & engineering tool functionality
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

  • 10+ years automotive industry experience in quality assurance or engineering environment preferred
  • Strong technical writing capabilities and oral communication skills
  • 310S/T from Ontario or equivalent technician license from other province(s)
  • Strong team building & supervising capabilities
  • Ability to use common engineering measurement tools (i.e., micrometers, dial indicators, digital volt ohm meters & oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Capability of operating common automotive repair equipment (i.e., Vehicle lifts, alignment equipment, A/C
- charging station, wheel mount/balance equipment, etc.)
