We are currently looking for experienced fire extinguisher technicians to join Division 28 Fire Safety Canada

Position:
Fire Extinguisher Technician


Job Classification:
Full-time / Permanent


Compensation:
Negotiable (based on experience)


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide portable fire extinguisher inspection, and maintenance, as required
  • Track and report parts and supply inventory levels.
  • Complete daily documentation as required.
  • Record all servicing records for customer reports and audit purposes.
  • Develop and support positive customer relationships
  • Maintain servicing equipment to a high standard

Requirements:


  • Portable Fire Extinguisher course completion postsecondary course (NFPA 10)
years' experience servicing and maintaining fire extinguishers as a licensed technician

  • Valid Class 5 License with clean abstract
  • Assists in repairs to all equipment requiring service from the customer.
  • Learns how to properly organize and maintain inventory, keeping an adequate level of replacement parts on hand and advising supervisor of upcoming inventory requirements.
  • Maintain records of all repairs received inprogress work and completed work.
  • Picks up and delivers repairs to the customer facility when necessary.
  • Interacts with customers and promotes positive customer relations.
  • Assists in maintaining and promoting a safe working environment

  • Conduct other duties and project work as assigned.

Additional Assets

  • Fire suppressions and or fire alarm systems certification
  • Experience with servicing and testing of fire suppression systems
  • Experience with servicing and testing of fire alarms

Physical Skill and Effort

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, standing, visual attention.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour
