    The Corix team has an opportunity for a Business Strategy and Planning Manager in Vancouver, BC. This role is responsible for driving the planning, execution, and long-term success of the company's strategic plan and objectives at all levels of the organization. The role provides guidance and support to the CGO and executive leadership team in managing the organization's strategy planning exercises, facilitating strategic discussions for both the executive leadership team and the Board, and providing facilitative advice and coordination of business intelligence information to inform better decision-making. This position is also responsible for collaborating with various internal stakeholders and providing necessary leadership to ensure alignment and achievement of plans and objectives by various business units. This position is also the main point of communications between the CGO and the business teams it supports.

    What you'll do

    • Guides leadership and facilitates the processes and discussions needed to developing specific, measurable and actionable strategic goals for the company.
    • Monitors, organizes, and reports on information, data, and action items regarding the progression of business plans and projects towards achieving the company's strategic goals.
    • Leads regular team meetings of the business development staff to share and build upon knowledge and experiences throughout business units
    • Manages the development and facilitates the ongoing maintenance of a centralized business growth pipeline.
    • Facilitates strategy and business planning efforts for the company
    • Monitors and reports on the company's strategic goals/initiatives implementation
    • Serves as project manager of select cross-functional projects designated by the CGO
    • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration among individual business units and corporate and shared service support groups to achieve the company's strategic goals and objectives
    • Provides direct management support at the CGO for different internal business teams needing assistance and/or guidance.
    • Acts as the CGO's centre for communications, receiving and tracking updates, and relaying information to the appropriate business teams.
    • Performs industry research and analysis on the competitive landscape to serve internal goals.

    What you bring

    Experience

    • Demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
    • Ability to build relationships across the organization and engage internal stakeholders
    • Excellent written communications skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Excel
    • 5+ years relevant work experience
    • Public speaking and/or project management experience is an asset

    Education

    • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Arts, Science, or a related area.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • This position requires excellent organization, project management and communications skills, as well as an understanding of the district energy business.
    • Must be able to adapt to new technologies, situations, and expectations.
    • Strong ability to communicate creative ideas and elicit feedback.
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to compromise to find satisfactory solutions with others.
    • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and resources throughout the project lifecycle.
