Essential Physical Requirements:


  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • The ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • The ability to use step stools and ladders to reach high shelving items
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly

Responsibilities:


  • Greets customers in a friendly and timely manner, solicits feedback as needed to improve service
  • Sells outdoor power equipment parts to customers walking or calling into the store
  • Fills parts requests for the service technicians
  • Participates in rolling inventory checks
  • Follows all company and vendor policies and procedures

Daily Duties:


  • Begin each workday with a positive attitude while contributing to the team in the parts department and across other departments
  • Ascertains make, year, and type of part needed
  • Reads catalogue or computer for replacement part stock number and price
  • Fills customer orders from stock and receives and fills telephone orders for parts
  • Prepares sales slip or sales contract
  • Receive payment, make the proper change, and wrap or bag merchandise for the customer
  • Completes End of Day Report and procedures
  • Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available
  • Examines returned part to determine if defective and exchanges part of refunds money
  • Alerts the Parts Manager when stock is running low
  • Marks and stores parts in the stockroom according to the prearranged system
  • Takes inventory of stock, brochures, bulletins, manuals, and publications and present an accurate count to the Parts Manager
  • Advise the Parts Manager of trends in parts usage
  • Manage aging inventory
  • Keep the parts area clean and tidy
  • Meet with the Parts and Service Managers to discuss improvements, goals, and objectives

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 2 years working in a similar position within the heavy equipment or agriculture industry (an asset)
  • WHMIS, JHSC, AODA, training (an asset) or the willingness to participate in training initiatives
  • Knowledge of the Kubota line up of products (an asset)
  • Bilingualism (an asset)

Compensation:


The compensation package for this position includes a starting rate of $20 per hour, the hourly rate will be determined based upon knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

After a three-month probationary period, employees will have access to a comprehensive benefits plan that includes life insurance. All necessary PPE will be provided (excluding steel toes)

The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday 7:30-5:00 pm at our 45 Slack Road Location. Onsite parking is available.
