At Head Office
As the Payroll Administrator, the primary function is to be responsible for the entire payroll cycle. Verify and process payroll information to determine compensation and benefits to employees of the organization.

  • Process, codify and reconcile full pay, benefits (group insurance and RRSPs) and employee reimbursements
  • Check time sheets according to cost centers
  • Follow up with managers to approve timesheets
  • Act as a resource for: employees, managers and external partners
  • Reconcile attendance records, vacation balances, sick day banks, leave, overtime, group insurance, RRSPs, occupational accidents
  • Provide remittances to different levels of government
  • Produce payroll analyzes, statistics and various reports including yearend reports: tax slips and summaries, salary declaration CSST, EHT and WSIB-Ontario
  • Balance various GL accounts at the end of the month
  • Account for all payroll entries
  • Participates in the yearend audit for any payroll related issues
  • Collaborate on various accounting projects
  • Perform other related duties

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • Diploma of college or university studies or relevant experience in the field of payroll
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with payroll


  • Payroll Compliance Specialist

  • Canadian Payroll Association (asset)
  • Knowledge of the full pay cycle in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick (multisite and intercompany)
  • Good knowledge of government payroll legislation (federal and provincial);
  • Proficiency in the Office suite
  • Advanced Excel
  • Bilingualism, French and English, oral and written (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Ultimate, UKGPayroll System (an asset)
  • A sense of ethics, confidentiality and autonomy, ability to work alone and in teams
  • Strong stress management and priorities

Job Type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week
