  • Operate cutting machinery to cut materials according to specifications
  • Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine cutting requirements
  • Measure and mark materials for cutting using measuring tools and markers
  • Set up and adjust cutting machinery for efficient operation
  • Monitor the cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality of cuts
  • Inspect cut materials for defects or imperfections
  • Remove excess material and trim edges as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:


  • Forklift operation: Ability to safely operate a forklift to move materials as needed
  • Assembly: Knowledge of basic assembly techniques to put together components or parts
  • Fabrication: Experience in fabricating materials using various tools and equipment
  • Mechanical knowledge: Understanding of mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Good manual dexterity and handeye coordination
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy materials as required

Salary:
$16.50-$25.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)
