Description
Duration: 6 Months with Possible extension


Responsibilities:


  • ServiceNow platform requirements gathering with internal and external clients for enhancements/bugs/new projects.
  • Capture business and functional requirements in the form of user stories, use cases, process flowcharts, UML diagrams and other business process modeling techniques.
  • Promote ServiceNow best practices and recommend out of the box solutions where appropriate
  • Providing advice and consulting on industry best practices pertaining to the overall maintenance of the ServiceNow platform
  • Provide second level support to the Production Support team in ServiceNow operations.
  • Leverage both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems.
  • Provide technical assessments, written documentation and technical expertise.
  • Work on continuous improvement by sharing experiences and knowledge within the team.
  • Strong ServiceNow knowledge and experience in implementing ServiceNow solutions (ITSM is a must, other areas are beneficial but not mandatory)
  • Experience in workflow analysis, process design, implementation and reengineering principle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to bring clarity to complex business problems and communicate concepts in a meaningful and concise way
  • Ability to understand business needs, map them to functional requirements and capture technical design solution
  • Understanding of different SDLC methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, Iterative
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL methodologies and ITSM Concepts
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Postsecondary education in Computer Science or Information Systems, or related qualifying work experience
  • 3+ years of experience creating and documenting requirements, specifications, and solution designs in a software development environment
  • 3+ years of demonstrated handson development experience with ServiceNow platform particularly in the following areas:

Tables, Database Views and ACLs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, Workflows, Reports, Service Portal Development, Catalog Items, UI Scripts, Client Scripts and UI Policies, Import Sets and Transform Maps, Events, Notifications, REST and SOAP Integrations, Knowledge of web based and scripting languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, XML, Web services (REST, SOAP).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Visio, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools and ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

  • Agile SDLC methodologies: 2 years (preferred)
