Toronto Zoo, Scarborough, Ontario
RATE OF PAY:
$18.59 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize opportunities to develop skills in the area of wetland conservation and programming. Assist in daily care, radiotracking and monitoring of Species at Risk turtles
- Assist with data entry and communications for the Toronto Zoo's _Ontario Turtle Tally_, _FrogWatch Ontario _and _Wetland Guardians _citizen science monitoring programs
- Assist with outreach education and distribution of educational materials to schools and communities; assist with organization and delivery of events at the Toronto Zoo, Rouge Urban National Park and other locations in the GTA
- Assist with programming by sister programs Turtle Island Conservation and the Native Bat Conservation Program as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be Indigenous (Status or Non-Status, Métis, or Inuit)
- Living in the GTA
- At least 16 years old
