ABOUT THE ROLE


The Specialist, Marketing Communications at Power Factors helps to increase brand awareness and loyalty by creating or collaborating with other team members to create marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, e-books, white papers or promotional videos.

The Specialist, Marketing Communications also will track marketing campaigns once they have launched.

Utilizing success metrics such as engagement or conversion rates, they will work with the rest of the marketing team to improve future marketing campaigns.


They also will run marketing and promotional campaigns via various paid and owned channels and will draft and distribute press releases and other articles, which may involve reaching out to media and industry experts.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Partner with agencies / contractors on strategic communications, tactical communications, and marketing campaigns
  • Implement performance metrics and tracking tools to measure success
  • Collect, analyze and report on marketing communications KPIs
  • Manage press releases — from first draft to full approval and distribution to media outlets
  • Act as the organization's representative with the media and at conferences
  • Assist with shortterm and longterm resource allocation to ensure project timelines are met
  • Understand customer pain points; assist in defining solutions and bringing them to life via things like blogs, ebooks, social media, website copy, presentations, and product sheets
  • Manage social media and advertising campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.)
  • Manage minor website updates — adding blog posts, updating events, editing copy, etc.
  • Create brochures, promotional materials, and online ads for upcoming events
  • Develop and implement brand management.
  • Assist with the implementation and execution of the marketing strategy — including campaigns, events, digital, and print marketing
  • Support the achievement of key strategic goals while generating gainful media coverage
  • Able to socialize ideas, make recommendations, develop plans and gather consensus to move forward.

Qualifications:


  • 4 plus years of experience with Bachelor's Degree in English, communications, marketing, business, or equivalent required
  • Comfortable writing, editing, and distributing communications materials
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and crossteam communication skills
  • Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Solid critical thinking and leadership skills
