We are looking for a Maintenance professional to provide technical expertise of Turnaround (TA) schedules as well as utilize previous experience and formal training to ensure compliance to Suncor TA process/procedures.

You will also review and provide inputs for processing changes for approval, prepare a resource loaded baseline schedule, monitor critical path, identify schedule slippage, and notify management to take mitigation measures.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience scheduling projects using Primavera P
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field
  • Experience working on large construction projects
  • Works well in a team environment and is selfmotivated, responsible, proactive, and reliable
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, organize, and monitor project performance

Responsibilities:


  • Have an excellent understanding of scheduling theory and be proficient with hands on use of Primavera
  • P
  • Setup Project in P6 to ensure development of detailed level schedule to establish a logically linked Resource loaded Integrated Baseline Schedules
  • Develop, maintain Level 5 detailed work schedule, and update daily to produce lookaheads (typically 48hr or 72hr)
  • Conduct periodic review meetings with the Execution Coordinators
  • Aid in development and maintenance of daily plan for manpower (histogram) and planned progress curves for overall project progress and discipline quantity based progress
  • Generate schedule deliverables critical path, key project milestone schedule, Earned Value. Area wise and Discipline wise summary schedule, and conduct schedule risk analysis to establish the schedule contingency
  • Analyze and monitor Critical Path, SPI & Float
  • Support process development, and support project control PC Lead and Functional Manager of Project Controls
  • Together with the Coordinators assist the implementations, progress tracking, analysis and reconciliation of changes.
  • Generate What if scenarios and recommend mitigation plans to the Execution team
  • Issue schedule change notice (TCN's) when there is an impact on the schedule due to client deliverables
  • Analyze the impact to TA schedule when delays are brought forth by other functions (Material delay, manpower delay, weather impact, etc.)
  • Review and load approved changes (change orders, forecast trends, etc.)
Location and Key Details

  • This is located at our Baseplant location in Fort McMurray
  • It is a 40 hour a week schedule with additional hours based on business needs
