Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshooting network issues on different systems and requirements (Windows, macOS, and Linux).
  • Configuring and maintaining the IT assets owned by the college including computers, servers, projectors, printers, and flexible classrooms.
  • Managing the domain users and devices via Active Directory and other administrative tools.
  • Learning and getting familiar with collegeowned tools like Moodle, Zoom, Lockdown Browser, and ever
- changing technology.

  • Providing technical assistance to students and faculty inperson as well as remotely via video conferencing tools.
  • Assisting faculty and staff in setting up and administering activities on digital platforms managed by the college.
  • Receiving and managing technical tickets and onsupport calls.
  • Training the other individuals on how to use the digital services.
  • Answering questions and fixing problems during the virtual session as they arise in realtime.
  • Regularly checking system and user logs to enforce academic integrity from a technical perspective.

Job Requirements (Skills, Experience, and Preferred Attributes):

  • Sound knowledge of hardware and networking is appreciated.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Firewalls, Servers, OS, and Cloud solutions is required.
  • Strong communication skills, deep technical knowledge, and ability to analyze and solve issues are a must have for this job.
  • Familiar with maintaining and assembling PC, monitoring security system, handling Projector, Printer, and Cisco VoIP Phone Systems.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required with minimum 1 year of Industry experience
  • Recent graduates are welcome to apply
  • Handonexperience on hardware.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Certifications: CCNA, Security+ or ITIL is a plus.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
