This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

Position summary:

Maintains and updates all existing category reporting tools, helps when questions on reporting arise from crossfunctional partners.
Drives improved efficiency and usage of category reporting tools across the organization, driving process refinement and improving automation.
Develops new reporting tools as the business evolves, automates existing tools or migrates them to more efficient platforms (i.e. PowerBI).
Supports Category Insights Managers on tasks (as directed by Team Lead), for example: planogram building, category reviews and performance reports, assortment recommendations, and flyer and promo review.

Responsibilities:

Manage Corporate Reports:_
Responsible for updating all internal reports with new data in a timely fashion, and over time, will be responsible for socializing these results across the organization.
Transition older reports from Excel to PowerBI.
Tracks the usage of corporate reports and makes recommendations to maintain or decommission.
With support of Team Lead, gauge business reporting needs and develop new reports, when necessary.
Ad hoc reporting, as necessary.

Manager Support:

Support Category Insights Manager team by helping to build planograms, prepare crosstabs, cleanse data, analyze data and prepare visualizations, produce reports, etc.

Supervision:

Direct report into Team Lead, Category Insights and Analytics.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

Minimum of 23 years of professional experience, ideally as a category manager/ category analyst.
University Degree, preferably in business administration.
Strong technical, report running and analytical abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data entry.
Power user of MS Office presentation tools (Word & PowerPoint).
Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot tables, Vlookups, Hlookups, conditional equations, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a matrix organization, work with multiple internal partners to discuss and prioritize work initiatives.
Strong working knowledge of Nielsen IQ Connect, Numerator, Shelfgram.
Experience transitioning reports into PowerBi is an asset.
Experience using JDA Space Planning software to build planograms is an asset.
Familiarity with the Canadian grocery retail environment and/or experience in the food industry is an asset.
