Ocean Concrete is currently looking for responsible, safe, and dependable
Labourer to join our local team. As a Labourer you will support plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to use different skills every day as you learn the ready-mixed concrete industry.

What You Will Get to Do:

General site cleanup and housekeeping.
Loading RMC trucks with bagged products.
Strip and stock, and load concrete octablocks.
Reassemble octablock forms.
Receive and stock products manually and using forklift.
Testing and transferring of process water.
Chipping of plant mixers.
Running ALAR, Nitrogen Cooling System, and Granville Barge Offload.
Other duties as required.

Who We Are Looking For:

In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain
Able to work inside and outside in yearround weather conditions
Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
Ability to work safely and independently without constant supervision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Capable of learning through on the job training
Forklift and Bobcat certification an asset, but not required.
Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
