About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Director, Western Zone, People Services, and under the day to day leadership of the Administrative Assistant, the HR Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the program and confidential administrative support to People Services managers, leads, consultants and occupational health nurses.

Also, provides additional support to individuals, committees and working groups as assigned. Facilitates and coordinates the administrative operations in support of the goals and objectives of the department(s)


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a recognized office/business administration program.
  • HR Diploma or certificate an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative support position. Experience in Human Resources administration in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use SAP is an asset.
  • Advanced computer training and demonstrated skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and the ability to acquire additional skills as necessary.
  • Expertise with the development and maintenance of documents, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (listening, written, verbal), with the ability to communicate professionally with all levels of staff and the public demonstrating a high degree of tact, judgement and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational, followthrough and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and accurately management multiple priorities in a fastpaced, timesensitive and highly confidential environment

Hours:


  • Permanent Fulltime position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Some travel may be required.

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $26.98 Hourly
