The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is actively involved in the preparation of the five-year corporate plan and the company's budget planning.


They will assist senior analysts in the design and maintenance of financial models in order to develop simulations, analyses and reports related to financial planning.

The incumbent also participates in the improvement and proposal of solutions to improve tools, analysis models, etc.

  • CHALLENGES TO BE MET
  • Participate in the development of simulations and analyses of financial results to support BDC's strategic planning process.
  • Prepare various analyses and reports while ensuring data integrity, accurate reporting of information, and improved reporting.
  • Participate in the preparation of presentations for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors
  • Support senior analysts in the design and maintenance of financial models for business units for the purpose of preparing and producing quantitative and qualitative reports for the corporate plan and budget.
  • Set up the budget planning system (Workday Adaptive Planning) and respond to requests from different users regarding reports.
  • Ensure that the right processes and controls are in place and at an optimal level to maintain the integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial reporting data.
  • Develop ways to derive timely information from all available databases. Keeps abreast of available data sources, system definitions and best practices, and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA accountant designation or CFA designation, a major asset
  • Three to five years of experience and at least two years of experience in FP&A
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry is an asset
  • Good financial and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • High ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage ambiguous situations, quickly understand new concepts, and challenge policies and procedures
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in both official languages, English and French
Temporary 16 month contract (March 2024 to July 2025)
