EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Engineering Degree;
5 years or more experience in construction projects;
Excellent computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Ability to work in a dynamic work environment; and
A valid driver's license will be required as there will be some travel involved.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Complete project scope statements;
Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;
Set up project work orders.
Develop realistic schedules in conjunction with the project team to complete projects;
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scopes of work;
Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) through continual improvement and active participation in corporate HSE processes;
Initiate and monitor all aspects of projects to ensure compliance with schedules and budgets;
Ensure project change requests are properly evaluated and authorized;
Determine insurance requirements for Projects in consultation with the Company's Risk and Insurance Division;
Ensure all approved changes are communicated to the project team and reflected in the active project budget and schedule;
Ensure that potential impacts of project changes from cost, schedule, safety and quality/reliability perspectives are identified and communicated to stakeholders in a timely manner;
Establish and manage project risk registers;
Identify and respond to issues, implement timely interventions or escalate as required to ensure project outcomes comply with project plans;
Ensure that terms of agreements or commitments are understood and fully respected;
Ensure that work packages are developed and leveraged by the project team;
Establish the necessary level of site security during project execution;
Manage the commissioning phase of the work;
Ensure continual improvement is nurtured through lessons learned sessions, supporting innovative approaches and communication to other project teams; and
Communicate with Operations on a regular basis.
Salary:
$60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
