FINISHING SITE SUPERINTENDENT - RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
Ron Eastern Construction Ltd. ("RECL") is a leading Canadian Construction Manager, Design-Builder, and General Contractor, based in Ottawa.

RECL is currently seeking a Finishing Site Superintendent.

Duties:

Manage all construction site activities with focus on finishes and handover.
Conduct deficiency reviews, and follow up on required corrections with various subtrades.
Keep accurate records of all defects and deficiencies in the work along with associated corrections
Handson correction of minor defects and deficiencies as required.
Coordinate, manage and communicate with trade contractors ensuring quality of work, timely execution, and compliance with budget requirements.
Resolve and manage technical, personnel and logístical problems;
Maintain relationships with clients, owners and property management staff; and
Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements.
Other duties consistent with the position as reasonably determined by the person to whom you provide assistance.

Requirements:

Minimum 510 experience in a construction environment;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Good computers skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, and cloud based document management systems (RECL uses PROCORE);
Good organization and time management skills and high attention to detail;
Advanced knowledge of all finishing disciplines (millwork, paint, drywall, flooring etc.) within the construction industry;
General knowledge of construction Health & Safety, Scheduling, Cost control, Quality control etc.;
Foreman experience is an asset;
Thorough, handson working experience;
Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code is an asset;
Post secondary education in a related field is an asset;
Provide own vehicle for job related duties (will be reimbursed the current government rate per km).
