    12 Month Contract

    Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure & Client Services, IT Service Desk Analyst is responsible for providing service desk support to all Town users of technology. Provides technical support, including ,troubleshooting software and hardware issues; replacing and installing new personal computers and related equipment; maintaining the security of the desktop computing environment and, advising on software/hardware use. The Service Desk Analyst is also responsible for maintaining supplies for printers and other hardware and for .providing input and updates to the IT asset management system.

    Job Requirements
    1. Completion of post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in Computer Sciences. Current and valid certifications in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), A+ or related, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional are an asset.
    2. Experience which has resulted in full working knowledge of hardware, software and operating systems for desktop computer environments; operation of local and wide area networks; the internet; current information system technologies and business applications in a municipal environment.
    3. Knowledge of help desk tracking software and troubleshooting tools used within in a voice and data network to support the desktop computing environment.
    4. Proven analytical, interpretive and communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality when assisting with sensitive information.
    5. Demonstrated ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
    6. Ability to work independently as well as within a team of technical professionals.
    7. Class "G" driver's license in good standing.
    8. Sound organizational and customer service skills suited to a highly technical environment.
    9. Available to work a flexible schedule, including unscheduled and scheduled overtime, including a rotating on-call schedule, as required.
