    The Manager in conjunction with the Discipline Director for Transfusion Medicine is accountable for participating in the development of the mission, vision, values and goals of the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) which are consistent with and support those of St. Joseph's Hospital and the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporations.

    Schedule Work Hours

    Monday to Friday; Days and on-call

    Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a related health profession or a discipline such as Health Sciences, Health Administration, Public Administration or Business is required
  • 3 year community college diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology preferred
  • Degree/Certificate from a recognized Health Management Program would be an asset
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
  • Health Care Management, Quality certification required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in a Medical Laboratory required
  • Previous management experience
  • Advanced Registered Technologist or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the integration of teaching, research and service in a changing health care environment through effective management of resources
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, team building and the ability to initiate and model positive change
  • Previous management experience and knowledge of Transfusion Medicine concepts
  • As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
