Your opportunity:

The Resourceand Information Coordinator will provide front-line support to the Centre for International Experience and its visitors.

Reporting to the Associate Director, International Student Experience and Global Fluency, the Coordinator is responsible for the activities of the Resource and Information Hub and overseeing a team of student staff to provide excellent front-line support.

The Coordinator supports the International Experience teams with events and triaging, disseminates information and communications tointernational students, and maintains our website, social media, and digital communication channels.

The Coordinator is part of the International Student Experience team and is responsible for the delivery of all services and duties under the Resource and Information Hub


This includes:

training, scheduling and directing the work of a team of student staff to deliver exceptional, friendly and professional front-line service; maintain and update the International Student Experience webpages and the new e-Library for International Students; support event and program delivery at the Centre for International Experience; prepare print and online communications; coordinate the content and release of the ISE e-newsletter; ensures all events, programs and activities are promoted efficiently through our print and digital communications channels; works with tri-campus International Student Centres, Student Life partners and faculties to coordinate cross-promotions and event logistics; screens and makes referrals to appropriate resources and services across U of T as required.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
  • Informing students on cocurricular opportunities
  • Promoting departmental events and programs to students
  • Coordinating the schedule for program and event calendars
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for program and service activities
  • Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
  • Facilitating educational workshops and seminars
  • Determining logístical details and activities for events and/or programming

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years of related experience in international student experience, front line service, events management and marketing/communications is required.
  • Of the 3 years related experience, a minimum 2 year demonstrated experience in marketing and communications including social media, website, enewsletter content creation is required.
  • Of the 3 years relatedexperience, a minimum 2 year demonstrated experience running successful front line services including training, scheduling and overseeing the work of student/casual staff is required.
  • Of the 3 years related experience, a minimum 2 year demonstrated experience with supporting event coordination including logistics and delivery is required.
  • Knowledge of student transitions into international higher education landscapes required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multicampus international student support services and international student experience from the Student Life lens required.
  • Proven experience in working in flexible environments and in dealing with uncertainty is required.
