    Taiga Building Products, Canada's largest wholesale distributor of building products, seeks a full-time HelpDesk Technician at its Calgary branch. Ideal candidates should be self-driven, able to work independently, and prioritize tasks efficiently. Responsibilities include tracking, prioritizing, and resolving support requests from employees via email and the company web portal, providing direct desktop technical support.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, and printer hardware and applications.
  • Support remote access infrastructure, including VPN and mobile devices.
  • Maintain and enhance customer service efforts.
  • Manage and prioritize support requests via multiple ticketing systems.
  • Conduct end-user training as necessary.
  • Administer user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Assist in IT infrastructure projects, including hardware and system deployments.
  • Document tasks and solutions to contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an IT support environment.
  • University Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent training.
  • Proficiency in training users on IT systems and applications.
  • Collaborative mindset, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical and cognitive skills for troubleshooting technical issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows 10 operating system.
  • Familiarity with Networking Principles and Windows Domains.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little or no supervision, especially in a remote setting.
  • Experience supporting applications such as Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and/or Intune would be advantageous.
  • Compensation:

  • Annual Salary $50,000 to $60,000
