Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Safety Advisor on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina, Saskatchewan.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.


We operate a world-class refinery that utilizes cutting-edge technology to produce 130,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day and an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters.

As one of Canada's largest refineries, we employ over 1,000 people. We are currently looking for a Safety Advisor to play a pivotal role within our Health, Safety and Security team


What you'll do:


You will provide guidance in the development of safety programs and recommend changes based on research and audit, implementation, maintenance, interpretation, compliance and review of CRC safety programs, procedures, practices and rules and regulations.

You will assist CRC workers, including contractors, and all levels of management with CRC safety programs and help in the prevention of safety incidents.


  • You will lead CRC Senior Management Team in the development of the CRC Safety Manual, implement any recommended changes, and aid anyone in interpretation and compliance of all safety rules
  • You will investigate Safety Incidents and Near Misses reported through the CRC Incident Reporting System. You will also act as the liaison with the Incident Command centre. You will develop and maintain industrial hygiene related programs, exposure control plans and procedures.
  • You will conduct occupational hygiene risk assessments and exposure assessments for biological, chemical, and physical hazards in the workplace.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) & Sustainability and:

  • You have a post-secondary school diploma, degree or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety through an accredited college or university.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years' experience as an industrial health and safety practitioner, preferably in a related industry (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • Special considerations for applicants with a background in Industrial/Occupational Hygiene
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
