Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager you will execute, monitor, and oversee all electrical aspects of a project. This includes safety, quality, and technical aspects while acting in the best interest of the Company to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
  • Support the pursuit of potential projects, including assisting in estimate preparation and bidding. Lead the transition into project execution upon project award.
  • Developing stepbystep project plans and scope of work for others.
  • Communicating with designers, engineers, general contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensuring each stage of the project happens on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
  • Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve.
  • Outlining timescales, costs and resources needed to design and deliver an electrical project.
  • Sharing regular progress reports with the client and shareholders.
  • Resolving any issues or delays on sites.
  • Develop an execution plan and schedule for each project. Monitor actuals and implement recovery plans as required.
  • Ensure all required materials, equipment and personnel are on site, and are performing, per established schedule, scope, and budget constraints.
  • Spend time at the work site to proactively identify and resolve issues as required.
  • Identify any unique safety hazards at the beginning of each project, and as site conditions change, and work with assigned HSE Advisors to develop and implement action plans.
  • Identify safety training requirements for site personnel and review all project safety documentation, ensuring that it is regularly updated and communicated. Hold site personnel accountable to follow and comply with all applicable standards, policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Be responsible for promoting a culture of health, safety and environmental accountability.
  • Foster a productive and respectful environment for all staff and craft personnel.
  • Produce regular project reports, shop drawings, change orders, RFIs, etc. Provide regular reporting to Senior Management as required.
  • Build and maintain open and trusting client relationships, ensuring attentiveness and responsiveness to client requirements.
  • Ensure proper project closeout documentation is prepared and submitted, including hand over documentation.

Qualifications:


  • 5 years' experience in a Project Management Role.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) required.
  • Undergraduate degree. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office including MS Project; experience with Project Management Software an asset.
  • Willingness to travel to all job sites.
  • Comply with and enforce all safety regulations.
  • You have a reputation for being reliable and approach your daily work in an efficient, professional manner.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Salary:
$60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
